Our Founder —

Dr Obehi Asemota

Dr. Obehi Asemota specializes in all aspects of reproductive medicine, including fertility preservation (egg and embryo freezing), in vitro fertilization/intracytoplasmic sperm injection, LGBTQ+ reproduction, ovulation induction, third party reproduction, and recurrent pregnancy loss.. Her practice is focused on working with couples who are struggling with infertility, to assist them in building a healthy family by empowering and educating them on all available fertility treatment options.
She considers providing compassionate, personalized infertility care to patients of all walks of life her calling.

Her research has been published in Seminars in Reproductive Medicine, Obstetrics & Gynecology, and Fertility and Sterility. She has also been the recipient of numerous honors and awards throughout her academic career and medical training, including the Mary Ellen Hartman Award for Outstanding Social Consciousness in Leadership from Drexel University College of Medicine and the AstraZeneca Community Service Scholarship. Dr. Asemota is a member of the American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology and the American Society for Reproductive Medicine.

Dr. Asemota received her undergraduate degree in biology from the University of Chicago and her MD from Drexel University College of Medicine. She completed her internship and residency at Hahnemann University Hospital, where she served as academic chief resident. She was also a fellow in reproductive endocrinology and infertility at Montefiore Institute of Reproductive Medicine-Albert Einstein College of Medicine in New York.

In her spare time, Dr. Asemota enjoys spending time with her friends, husband and twin boys.

Physician —

Dr. Sicily E. Garvin

Dr. Sicily E. Garvin, a dual board-certified Obstetrician/Gynecologist and Reproductive Endocrinologist, specializes in women’s health and fertility. Trained at Emory University and Morehouse School of Medicine, she offers comprehensive reproductive services, focusing on innovative research and early pregnancy outcomes.

Her personal passions include restorative movement exercises, travel and spending time with family.

Laboratory Director —

Dr Schwartz

Dr. Schwartz is the Laboratory Director for the Hope Fertility Center.  He is a board-certified High Complexity Laboratory Director (HCLD) and Clinical Consultant (CC) by the American Board of Bioanalysis (ABB).  Dr. Schwartz obtained his Ph.D. in Reproductive Physiology from the University of Nebraska Medical Center in 2000 and has been performing IVF techniques since 1992.  Prior to working on his Ph.D.,  he collaborated on many projects involving wildlife, endangered species, and zoo animal reproduction.

He has directed several top-performing laboratories throughout the Midwest, which has enabled many couples to realize their dream of having a child.  Dr. Schwartz began working with Dr. Asemota in 2020 during the planning stages for the state of the art laboratory at the Hope Fertility Center.  He and the lab staff ensure quality patient care and pregnancy success are a top priority in all phases of the patient experience at the center.  Dr. Schwartz regularly attends workshops and national meetings to keep the laboratory state of the art and actively maintains the quality management of the laboratory.  Dr. Schwartz currently lives in Nebraska with his family and enjoys following Husker athletics.
